What do you wear to a family wedding if you have been asked to be a hostess?

My stepsister asked me to be her hostess for her wedding in May. It’s an outdoor not-too-dressy wedding and her bridesmaids are wearing fuscia, her groom and groomsmen are wearing black and silver tuxes. Should I wear something that goes with the wedding party? I don’t think I want to wear fuscia and match the bridesmaids. Should I wear a silver dress? Should I stay away from prints since I am now technically part of the wedding party? It is also in Oklahoma and likely to be quite warm. I have two tattoos that would show if I wore a tank dress. Does that matter? Should I try to find something with sleeves to be respectful?
Another thing to consider, I am kind of a big girl and I rarely wear dresses because it is hard to find good plus size dresses. And that whole self concious thing. I am afraid of looking awkward. What kind of dresses are good for overly curvy girls? (heavy on top and bottom but still with somewhat of a waist)
Help me! I am fashion impared!!

Black skirt and a button up half sleeved colored (single color) shirt. Can’t go wrong, that’s formal and casual.
